Day 106

Wow. I’m not doing great with keeping up with this.


8:30 Woke up, took meds, got ready for the day.

10:00 Breakfast. 1 Mix1 blueberry vanilla smoothie.


12:45 Lunch. 5oz. tuna, 1/2c brown rice, 8 grape tomatoes, 3c lettuce, o&v.

4:15 Snack. 8oz nonfat yogurt.

6:00 Snack. 1 slice whole wheat bread, 1T raw almond butter, 1 banana.

7:00 Exercise. Fencing.

9:30 Dinner. 6oz tilapia, 6oz asparagus.

Day 103

Life has been extremely busy. I’m doing pretty well with my eating, but not so much on my daily cardio.

Today my sport fencing equipment arrived from Triplette Competition Arms. They custom-made my jacket, which fits absolutely perfectly!!! I love it! My daughter is really excited about getting her gear, too. I feel like an actual fencer now!

Day 101

7:00 Woke up, took meds, stretched, got ready for training and weigh-in.

8:00 Weighed in at 299.6 pounds, which means I’ve lost 50.4 pounds! I’m in the 200s now!!! Had a killer training session.

Stuck with my eating plan all day. I’m getting good at this, finally.

Day 100 – fifty pounds lost!!!

Unofficially, I’ve hit the 50-pound mark today. Trainer had to reschedule for tomorrow, so I’ll have the official results then.

Not sure I really need to say anything else today, except “Go me!”

Late addition – I attended a Christmas Cookie Swap at church tonight for the women’s ministry. I’m happy to report that I didn’t eat a single cookie! I know that if I had eaten one, I wouldn’t have been able to stop. Having the weigh-in tomorrow morning really saved me from catching a ride on the cookie bus tonight!

Day 99

9:00 Breakfast. 2 scoops protein powder.


12:30 Lunch. Chicken Caesar salad from McDonald’s with Newman’s Lite Balasamic Vinaigrette dressing, 1 clementine.

3:45 Snack. 1 KIND Almond and Apricot bar.

5:30 Dinner. 1 KIND Almond and Apricot bar. This is called lazy.

7:00 Exercise. Fencing.

Day 96

8:45 Woke up late, took meds, stretched, got dressed for a really long day.

10:30 Breakfast. 6oz yogurt (90 calories), 1 clementine.


12:30 Lunch. 1 spicy chargilled chicken breast, 1 side salad, light Italian dressing (15 calories), 1 small coleslaw, all from Chick-fil-A.

3:00 1 large gingerbread coffee from 7-11, with splenda and a French vanilla shot.

6:00 Dinner-ish. 1 hamburger patty, 1 clementine.

10:00 Snack. 1 KIND Almond & Apricot bar.

Volunteered tonight at our church’s Christmas Family Fun Fest. Enjoyed chatting with lots of people about my progress and crazy activities. I think I might have at least 1 friend interested in doing a Half Marathon with me in October 2010!!! I hope I can get some other folks interested!

Day 95

Confession time.

I have fallen off the wagon regarding my eating plan for about a week.  I want to chalk it up to having my period, but that can’t account for all of my poor choices. It all started last week on Tuesday night when I ate a huge Thanksgiving meal at a church service, and ate everything including 2 rolls and a piece of pecan pie. Seriously. I don’t know what got into me. Then there was Thanksgiving Day, when I ate some of everything, but didn’t make myself sick. I haven’t been strict since. So, I’m here right now pledging to document my food starting with lunch today. I’m going back to basics and taking pictures of everything I eat, again. That seems to work for me. I want to hit my 50-pound mark on Day 100 (next Tuesday) and that’s the only way it’s going to happen. So, I’m back on the wagon!


7:00 Woke up, took meds, stretched, got ready for personal training.

8:00 Personal Training session #26. Wow. Today was hard. I was digging my heels in and felt like a slug. I felt like I was just running out of steam on my whole makeover. The exercise regimen, the eating plan, everything is just getting to me a little. I’m tired because I haven’t been eating right this past week, and am feeling weak (in my head.) My self-control is lagging, as is my motivation. I need to get a handle on this!

9:00 Breakfast. Smoothie by Maggie.

11:30 Snack. 1/2c fat-free cottage cheese, 1/2c frozen blueberries, 2 packets Truvia.


3:00 Lunch. 1 flatbread turkey sandwich from Subway, no cheese, veggies, mustard.

Lunch, Day 95

5:45 Dinner. 6oz shrimp, 2c zucchini, 1T olive oil, 1T low sodium soy sauce.

Dinner, Day 95

7-9:00 Exercise. Fencing. Had a great time!

9:30 Snack. 6oz fatfree coconut creme pie yogurt (100 calories).

10:30 Bedtime.
