AM

Woke up, took meds, stretched, drank water.

Breakfast. 1/2c strawberries, 3/4c plain fat-free yogurt, 2 packets Truvia, 2 scrambled eggs.

PM

Lunch. Sushi at The Land. Full Moon Combo and tomato-cucumber salad. I forgot to take a picture of my lunch, until I was almost done!

Dinner. Rose & Crown Pub. Cheesy biscuits, surf and turf with mashed potatoes and Yorkshire pudding, and for dessert, sticky, toffee pudding.

Woke up, took meds, stretched, drank water.

Breakfast. 2 scoops protein powder.

Lunch. Flametree Barbecue at the Animal Kingdom. BBQ Chicken salad, 1 packet grapes (40 cal.), 1 bite key lime pie.

Dinner. Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. This is my favorite restaurant at Disney. I ate some of everything there.

Day 33

AM

Woke up, took meds, stretched, drank water.

9:00 Breakfast. 2 scoops protein powder, 1/2c strawberries.

PM

12:00 Lunch. Hollywood Studios. Southwest chicken salad, 1/2 no-sugar-added strawberry parfait. I removed the fried tortilla strips inside the salad.

4:15 Snack. 1 medium apple, 1oz raw almonds.

10:30 Dinner. Food court at All-Star Movies Resort. 6oz grilled chicken breast, 1 French fry, 1 side salad, 1 packet fat-free Italian dressing (20 calories). I didn’t eat the bun, and I really did eat only 1 French fry. I should never, ever, wait to eat this long. It was 6 hours since a snack. I was so hungry, and the salad place was closed, and I was ready to eat just about anything.

11:30 Brunch. Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at the Grand Floridian. 1oz smoked salmon plus accompaniments (capers, onions, eggs, tomato slice), egg white omelette with onions, peppers, and mushrooms, 1/2 slice whole grain bread, 1/2c canteloupe.

Day 31

This afternoon, we will be traveling to Walt Disney World Resort for a much needed 8-day vacation. There are going to be some major food challenges. As far as fitness goes, I will get plenty of exercise walking all day every day, but not a 45-minute walk/run and strength-training. I’m going to try to update as often as I can, so you can see what sorts of challenges I’m encountering on a family vacation. Foremost in my mind is that I don’t want to lose any of the progress I’ve made thus far. I’m not sure I can eat a huge meal any more, so that will be working for me! I will be packing a few things to help me stick to some version of my eating plan. Maggie has generously allowed me one cheat meal, and I’m really trying to figure out when I’m going to take advantage of that. I need to stick to this. If I can maintain my eating and fitness plan on schedule, I will be 80, that’s right, 80 pounds lighter when it’s time for the Disney 5K the first weekend in 2010. Wow. That should help keep me honest!

8:45 Breakfast. 1/4c (uncooked) steel-cut oats, 3oz ground turkey, 3 egg whites, 1T Walden Farms blueberry spread.

1:30 Lunch. 5oz ground turkey, 1/2 c brown rice, 4oz asparagus. I ate this in the car on the way to Orlando.

4:00 Snack. 2 scoops protein powder

7:00 Dinner. Wolfgang Puck’s Express. 6-7oz Rosemary Chicken breast (skinless), 1c organic baby greens with balsamic vinaigrette on the side, 1 bite of creme brulee.
