Happy New Year!

Yes, I’ve taken some time off over the holidays, but I will be back at work here tomorrow, posting away!

I’ve made some New Year’s Resolutions, as most of you have, and will share them in more detail over the weekend.

7:00 Woke up, took meds, got ready for the day.

8:00 Breakfast. 1 EAS Myoplex banana cream nutrition shake, 1 small apple.

10:30 Brunch. Grand Floridian Cafe. Frittata (egg whites and veggies), small portion of fresh fruit, water.

Noon. Cheat. 4 bites of ice cream.

4:45 Snack. 1/2 slice of whole wheat bread, 2 slices of muenster cheese, 3 thin slices of bbq chicken breast, 1oz raw almonds.

8:00 Dinner. 6oz asparagus, 6oz tilapia. I am really happy to be at home in my safe eating place. If you’ve ever embarked on a strict eating plan, you know what I’m talking about!

Day 67

6:30 Woke up, took meds, drank water, stretched.

7:00 Exercise. 60 minute walk/jog. 2 laps around the resort lake. Approximately 3 miles. Woohoo!

11:30 Lunch. Hollywood Studios, Pizza Planet. 1 side salad with balsamic vinaigrette, 4oz albacore tuna, tiny wedge of pizza (3 bites).

12:30 Snack. 1/4 personal pizza. This is a tiny bit of pizza.

4:00 Snack. 1 apple, 3 bites of chicken curry at the Commissary.

9:00 Dinner. 1 side salad with balsamic vinaigrette, 4oz albacore tuna.

Day 66

8:00 Woke up, took meds, got ready for the day.

9:00 Breakfast. 1/2c blueberries, 1/4c (uncooked) steel cut oats, 3 egg whites.

The rest of the day is kind of a blur since I spent the morning packing for a 3-day Disney trip, and one kid going to scout camp immediately following.

1:00 Lunch. 2c romaine leaves, 4oz chicken breast, 1 small sweet potato.

We drove to Disney, checked in to the resort, and went swimming.

6:00 Dinner. Resort food court. Greek salad and about 4oz turkey breast.

Day 39

First day home after 8 days of vacation at Disney World. I weighed in this morning at my training session and I was down .2 pounds! That brings my total loss to 18.2 pounds! Maggie and I were both worried about the damage I’d done over vacation, but I’m here to tell you that my metabolism is working properly now, and I balanced my eating with smart choices most of the time and some serious cheat meals sprinkled throughout the trip. I think I’m still hanging onto some water weight from vacation because of the copious amounts of salt I’ve had. At any rate, I maintained my weight loss thus far, and don’t have any massive recovery efforts underway. I’m just jumping back on track with my eating and exercise plans now that I’m home. I’m pretty proud of myself!

7:15 Woke up, took shower.

8:00 Personal training session #13. Full-body weight- and agility-training. This was tough, and I’m really tired.

9:00 Breakfast. Smoothie by Maggie.

9:30 Napped until 10:45. Yeah, that’s right.

11:00 Took meds, because I forgot earlier.

11:45 Snack. 1c plain non-fat yogurt, 1c frozen strawberries, 2 packets Truvia.

2:30 Lunch. 6oz tilapia, 1/2c brown rice, 6oz asparagus. Another gourmet microwave creation. I just throw everything into the bowl, cover with Press ‘n’ Seal wrap, microwave for 5 minutes, let it sit, sprinkle Mrs. Dash on it, eat it.

7:30 Dinner. 5oz ground sirloin, 6oz green beans

Tomorrow morning, I have an appointment with a new primary care physician. I’m hoping for someone trustworthy and helpful! I need to get a complete physical as well as a medical release for Maggie.

Late Breakfast. Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I had some of everything. No pictures. This was a fantastic breakfast, and I ate too much.

PM

Late Lunch. Crispy Chicken Club sandwich, fries, Diet Coke at Wendy’s.

Snack. 1 Sugar-free Jell-o rice pudding snack.

I am so happy to be home. I welcome the routine of preparing all of my food, exercising, and sleeping in my own bed!

Dinner. Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at the Polynesian Resort. Family Style Feast: Tropical mixed greens with mango poppyseed dressing, pineapple coconut bread, sweet golden pineapple, Islando BBQ pork ribs, Lanoi roasted chicken, Polynesian rice, fresh seasonal veggies and Kilauea Volcano Delight Dessert. I also had 4 glasses of wine.

Lunch. Sushi at The Land. Full Moon Combo and tomato-cucumber salad. I forgot to take a picture of my lunch, until I was almost done!
